Is Your Wine ‘REAL’ or Is it a Manufactured Product?
I know, you believe that the current wine that you are buying, and drinking is ‘Real’. It could be, so let’s find out.
Real wines are made from whole fresh fruits or vegetables; they are never made from juices and concentrates. The answer to this question is unbelievably simple. Somewhere on your wine label, usually on the backside just above the ‘Federal Warning Statement’ the answer will be clearly printed. If your label reads “Grown, Produced, Vinted & Bottled” your wine came from a real American winery; the magic word is ‘Grown’. You are getting really close to your destination. Please turn back to the front label of your wine bottle. If the word “Unfiltered” is printed on your label, congratulations, you are indeed buying and drinking a ‘Real’ bottle of wine!
Obviously, you should never purchase a bottle of wine until you check out the wine label. Please, understand, no winery in the U.S.A. can print a wine label until it has been completely vetted and approved by the State that the winery is in and the Federal Agency TTB. For your safety and ease of comparison, all the information on your wine bottles label is true and accurate.
As a final note, ‘Real’ bottles of wine are sealed with Sealing Wax. Wine bottles that have ‘Plastic, Aluminum Foil or Screw Tops are made from juices and concentrates and will never have the magic words “Grown, Produced, Vinted & Bottled” and ‘Unfiltered’.
