Food and Wine
Food and Wine, as natural as air and water! For many years, we have helped train chefs. We are not teachers in the professional sense, but, rather, teachers in the art of wine making. It’s important for chefs (and for all of us) to remember that the art of cheffing and the art of wine making have been handmaidens for millennia. Both professions have been intertwined since the founding of civilization. Whenever we go to a nice restaurant and enjoy a chef prepared meal, we know that the food that we are eating was assembled with the finest ingredients and the utmost of care. The placement of every condiment or sprig of mint was not an accident, but the stroke of a food artists brush.
Like the chef, the traditional wine maker uses only the finest and freshest of ingredients. The grapes, fruits or vegetables that make the wine are usually tended and nurtured by the wine maker. Every bottle of wine captures a single year’s harvest, from a single place and moment in time. Pride and love are corked into every bottle. Can there be any wonder why the art of cheffing and the art of wine making have touched our lives in so many, many ways?
When a couple binds their lives together, fine foods and fine wines are there for the celebration. When a new life enters our world, fine foods and fine wines are there for the celebration. Throughout our lives, every moment of joy is enhanced by fine foods and fine wines.
When you sit down at the end of the day with the one you love, with a glass of wine in your hands, please remember that you are the latest stroke of beauty painted by thousands of generations of food and wine artists!
Thank You…The Green Winer
